Gernot Hacker

Gernot Hacker is an independent IT security consultant with over 25 years of expertise in the industry. A graduate from the German Airforce (GAF) Officers school, Gernot was 10 years with the GAF, where he was most of his military career part of 3rd flying squad of 32nd fighter bomber wing providing airborne ECM and ECCM training for ground, air and sea based radar personal.

After two years of studying information technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich he abandoned his academical training to join Pro7 tv station to manage the Exchange and desktop/server side of the datacenter operation for around 2.700 users on campus which resignated more with his hands-on attitude.

After some engagements with antivirus software vendors Gernot started an independent IT security consultancy which he’s running for 15 years now enjoying the freedom of choice about which projects to work on. On his journey Gernot met and worked for over six years for Michael Cholod, which brought him in touch with The Peace Coalition where his background will cover IT security related topics.
