A Self-Funding Roadmap for Ukraine’s Reconstruction
Rebuilding Ukraine will take several decades, and though the conflict is ongoing, there are substantial advantages to early investments to begin recovery immediately, particularly in the ‘safe zones’ of western Ukraine.
Early-recovery intervention ensures that the infrastructure will exist to resettle over 10 million returnees and displaced people as soon as possible, especially once the hostilities end. It will also strategically set the foundation for more efficient, just, and equitable investments in reconstruction later, avoiding inefficiencies and missed opportunities that often plague traditional, top-down models of reconstruction.
The Peace Coalition will test a self-funding roadmap for Ukraine’s reconstruction supported by local community engagement and modern urban master near Kyiv.
